Handmade pottery for everyday life
Studio emma sophia is a small ceramics studio focussed on the production of small batch, handmade pottery for you to use and love everyday. Teaching pottery, both on the potters wheel and handbuilding, is also at the core of the studio.
The studio is run by Emma Grout and can be found in Breda, The Netherlands. Please make an appointment via e-mail if you would like to visit.
Just like me (Emma) this website is bilingual, mixing Dutch and English. If you need any help translating please feel free to reach out to me.
All currently available pottery can be found and bought in the online shop. Small batches of new stock will be added periodically. The best way to stay updated about new ceramics and shop restocks is by following along on Instagram and signing up to my newsletter.

SHOP ONLINE
My online shop is always open and stocked with lots of pottery. You can order at any time and I will ship it to you as quickly as I can.
I'm currently not sending out newsletters while I'm exploring new ways to send out newsletters and make these more fun.
Restocks will be announced in advance on Instagram. -
SHOP IN PERSON
You can visit my studio to browse the pottery available. This can be done via appointment only.
E-mail me to make an appointment.
Not sure what to get? I also offer gift cards! -
SHIPPING NOTICE
I'm at the studio 3 days a week and will always try to pack and ship an order as quickly as I can. Because I am not at the studio fulltime order processing can sometimes take longer than the 2-7 days I aim for.
Sadly I cannot control how long shipping might take. Especially international shipping may take longer than expected due to customs.
Your order will arrive packed in repurposed packing materials to reduce waste and our carbon footprint. -
SHOPPING TIPS & TRICKS
Make sure you're logged in (top right corner) and have all your shipping settings ready to go for speedy checkout.
Items in your shopping cart are not reserved. You can place multiple orders and I will refund excess shipping costs. -
LOCALS
If you're local and able to pick up your order at the studio you can skip paying for shipping and select to pick up your order.
I will contact you to schedule a pick-up moment. -
FINALLY
Please remember to shop small, shop local, shop independent and shop sustainably :)
